The illustrious nature of it all...

She touched me again today as I wandered through the wood,
She was also there in the golden glow of twilight,
As she reached down from above and whispered in my ear.
Each word was like a melody releasing me from the bondage only I could have created.
And as she took my hand to lead me down the winding path I felt my heart take wing with the song of the loon.
I am dizzy and drunk with her love and yet steady in my resolve,
Never before so liberated, never again more grateful,
The arrival is complete.
The clap of the thunder that follows the flash of lightning brilliance,
Penetrates me through and through,
And I am swept away by the magic of the wind and rain as only you can do.
There is nothing left to absorb.
Please love me back as much as I love you,
For I know that this is the only way.
There is the sweet rapture of it, the warmth that overcomes my cares,
As the tears of joy wash away all fear leaving me to weep no more.
I can feel her embrace as I yield to her every whim,
And up above the trees we soar, laughing, crying, lost in each others arms.
The tender spot is much more sensitive now,
Attracted to even the most subtle nuance,
Opening to both the joy and sorrow of others,
Offering, giving, receiving, all in one.
There is so much slipping away, letting go as one would a garment that no longer fits.
Who could have known the depth of this delight,
Who else could have shown the path to the portal of the source?
Only me, only you, and the sweet sacred love that we share.
I’m at your door calling you to come out and play,
C’mon put down whatever it is you’re doing and come skip away with me.
I’ve packed a special picnic lunch with all your favourite goodies and know just the place to spread the blanket,
C’mon put down whatever it is you’re doing and fly away with me.
Disappearing into the divine...
