Floral Seduction Wednesday, May 6, 2009

Lilacs, rhododendrons, camas and other nymphs dispatched each spring to seduce me,

Come, I have left all my trappings behind,

Welcoming your intoxicating beauty,

Heart open’d to the beyond, breath seeking to be endless, stillness profound,

Filling every sense to its zenith, nothing left untouched.

Melting into the sweet fragrance,

The delicacy of the petal,

Tumbling deliriously within the sensuous pleasure of your essence.

 

Everything that was once wound up has suddenly come undone,

Brief flashes of childhood remembrances,

Bliss, love, I feel them everywhere.

The time has vanished, no differentiation apparent,

Drifting away and gone

Willingly and with complete trust like a mother and her child.

They are one, we are one, I am the lover in the lover’s divine caress

Revelling in the wholeness of it all.

Emancipated through the very nature of it,

Unconditionally refined.

 

And as I reach out to touch the delicate texture of it

My heart races ahead completely and utterly naked,

Singing your praises as in all sacred tongues,

Giving up everything in submission to you my benevolent muse,

Knowing I am safe without myself,

Knowing your comfort with delight.

 

The sheen on the green of the broad leaf revealing my true reflection as I’m swept away again.

Joyous in your presence and your praise,

Lifting all that was once lowered and catching the shooting star that now illuminates the path.
