I awoke in the darkness but knew you would be arriving soon,

So I stretched out upon my mat to prepare myself as the wisp of incense billowed up.

And as I breathed in your essence to my very core

The avian emissary sounded the alarm at my window just as the dawn was breaking,

So I busied myself to greet you in the beyond.

 

I will never tire of meeting you like this so off I strolled along the Narnia path toward the sea where your most auspicious awakening was already underway.

The clouds were few but there to reflect your orangey pink gown with the gulls and ravens already scurrying about awaiting you as well.

But before your grand entrance I was swept away again by the magic of the treasures you had left behind with the tide,

My eyes darting to and fro imbued to such depth by shapes and colours no palette could express, no words could describe.

I heard the trill of a sand piper that transported me to childhood and then...

 

And then you came... in such resplendent glory that everything took notice,

There was no choice as you commanded the stage.

The flowers and leaves began to turn their heads to receive your blessing and welcome your embrace,

And I stood motionless, in complete stillness, heart beating in mystical rhythm with the breath,

Yielding over and over to the seduction of your grace.

 

Ah, there can be no grander inspiration than you.

You are the supreme, the very moment of creation that overwhelms all thought and lays to rest all fears,

Rendering me forever once again your ardent lover as I offer myself to you,

Opening to the light, disappearing in the warmth, scattered to the heavens with your joy.
