The music can set you free...
Wednesday, November 18, 2009

When I stop worrying about everything, I am instantly there by your side,

Wrapped deliciously within your forgiving presence and ready for the ride

Of a lifetime that never ends, just keeps on getting better,

Like a vintage wine as we lovingly dine at the banquet known as life.

Every romantic moment I’ve ever enjoyed is etched upon your face,

And I am so attracted to you now I’m way out front in any race.

So, get yourself right over here now,

Let’s do the tango real close,

And when the lights go down, we’ll ascend to the beyond,

As we raise our holy chalice to the sacred host.

Have you ever watched a gifted pianist disappear within the keys,

Swept away by the rapture of the Divine as he tickled black and white,

Have you ever heard a beautiful chanteuse vanish within her song,

As she floated gently out of sight?

And have you ever seen an Isadora supreme as she danced across the ballroom floor,

Razzling and dazzling every heart in the house,

As they kept calling out for more?

Can you stop whatever you’re doing right now

And step outside the door with me,

And jump off the cliff wings completely unfurled,

Holding onto only me for dear life?

I’m so enraptured by the bliss you so willingly provide,

I am there each morning as you dawn and again at night with deep pride,

And all the time that comes between I’m smiling for you still,

You’re the one, my only one, and I’ll gladly tell the world this truth,

That I would love to touch you again right now so tenderly forsooth.

I saw you before in the mountain meadow and almost lost my balance,

I saw you again on a crowded street and my heart leapt out at once,

Each time you appear the feeling is clear that our destinies are intertwined,

And out of this sweetness comes a love so precious I just want to sing your praises for all time.

Come, lie here beside me and let me marvel at you,

Come, let me caress you that you will know of my unrequited love,

Come, let me kiss you that our promise will stay sacred,

And when the moment arrives for either of us to leave,

Let us part as dear friends full of reverence.

Pulse quickening unconditionally...
