Can you feel the rhythm, can your fingers and toes catch the beat,

Can you feel aroused so high that you just can’t stop your feet,

Is your heart racing out of control at the very thought of getting close,

To the only love that you deserve, the one that’s right there in front of your nose?

 

There once was a time when time mattered,

But not now because you’ve left all that behind,

And climbed over the wall to the garden beyond,

Where freedom is the only thing you’ll find.

 

When you touch me in that gentle way that you do,

I step off the edge of the cliff and am gone forevermore,

This is exactly what happens as best I can describe,

For to speak of such encounters,

Requires deep responsibility by your side.

 

I feel that it’s the only way to really share what’s going on,

No need to lead you down a garden path,

No need to tickle your eyes with wool,

For the truth is plain and never insane,

This is known by every fool.

 

So go ahead and laugh at yourself,

Consider it a glorious jest,

Then get on with the loving as fast as you can,

Because the rest is better than best.
