If someone asked you “Are you a lover?”

What would be your reply?

Short and sweet and very discreet,

Or would you embellish it beyond the sky?

I think the question is fair so I continue the dare,

For you to speak the response from your heart.

 

Go ahead, write it down first, and ponder it awhile,

For it might just be the most important answer from the start.

 

So, while you’re dreaming away I’ll be steaming ahead

With the images and feelings that fly before my gaze,

But I want you to know before this sweet game begins,

That you’ve got to get out of that haze.

If you think there’s a timepiece involved in any of this,

Let it go in an instant or be locked in the freeze.

 

Some may call it corny, others profound,

But in the end the only saviour is the one you’ve just found.

For me there are powerful threads that remind me of my nature,

Their roots go deep into the romantic flavour of life,

Being sustained by the richness of this Divine creature.

 

To be, yet to leave no trace is the challenge of the serious warrior,

And the gift is presented with each beat and each breath,

Everything in the field of creation deserves our attention without judgement,

And out of this awareness right action will be your delight.

 

I find it easy now to tell you of the unlimited depth of love I have for you,

It rolls off my lips with the precision of a sacred shaman,

And is the light that leads me to the truth.

Is it possible for you to unleash your love until it brightens up the sky,

Will you lay down your life for me and never wonder why,

Is my touch as tender to you as yours has become to me,

Can you say yes to yourself and set fire to the past,

And step into this spaceship with me and get free?
