What good serves this love that remains silent and undiscovered,

What meaning hath an open heart that never can be shared,

Where does the path of self forgiveness lead you,

Can you walk it now and forevermore without a speck of fear?

 

Does the song you sing ring proud and true,

Does it bring life to those in need,

Will you touch those less fortunate with your loving heart,

And receive the benediction and be freed?

 

When you pass me in the sacred wood or upon the blessed strand,

Will you lay down your blanket my holy muse,

And welcome me to stay,

To linger just a moment longer, to consummate our love,

Then explode together beyond the stars where ecstasy will shower us from above?

 

I’ve shown you every secret place that’s held me back so long,

I’ve opened up my special treasure chest and written this soulful song,

There’s nothing left for me to give yet still I offer more,
